  24. mouth shut on this, but while I see elements of truth in both Aaron's and
  25. Karen's veiwpoint, I don't think such women are "lucky".  Excuse me, if I
  26. use Dawn as an example, but it's timely and let's me see things from a
  27. young lady's viewpoint.  Dawn, almost 16 now, is extremely beautiful...
  28. she has a dynamite smile, gorgeous long hair, and a fantastic figure.  She
  29. can easily pass for 22 or more.  She is also an excellent student, works
  30. very hard and get excellent grades....she has a very good mind in the
  31. pretty head.  But she already experience and know the power she can have
  32. over men (quote "....guys follow me around like little puppy dogs, drooling
  33. with their tongues hanging out....").  She has already been (for several
  34. years now) subject to types of harrasement from males ...that would (or
  35. should) get them fired if it occurred in a workplace.  She does not dress
  36. seductively or suggestively .... yet attracts unwanted attention.  She is
  37. well aware of how she is viewed by some (ex:  we were in mall and some
  38. glamour shot place wanted to take pictures of her ... well, some of the
  39. pictures might have been alright for her age, but many I don't think
  40. would be appropriate for any young teenage girl ...adult ok.  I didn't
  41. say anything, but her comment let me know she thinks pretty straight ..
  42. she says: "I know what kind of picture they want of me ...I'd be on a
  43. calendar, sitting on a motorcyle, wearing nothing but a big smile, with
  44. the slogan - "check out my equipment!").  Well, surprised me a little,
  45. but let me know Dawn at least is not naive.  Maybe some day some doors
  46. will open for Dawn, that will not open for others less attractive, but I
  47. feel certain if such happens, it will be her brains and business
  48. ability that keep her there, not her appearance.  OK, maybe I am naive.
  49. And some men get places because they look like John Wayne, Clint Eastwood,
  50. James Arness, you get the idea.  Yeah, I know, Alan Ladd did OK.  Got to
  51. get back to work.
