  11. I just upgraded my 386-25 to 8 Mb from 4 Mb.  My first 4 Mb are 1x9
  12. SIMMS and the new ones are 1x3 SIMMs.  The system recogized the new
  13. memory fine, and all of the system has been working well - and the
  14. DJGPP 32-bit compiler and my programs under it definitely are working
  15. with the new memory as there is definitely reduced swapping.  However,
  16. under Excel 4.0 - I periodically get a Memory Parity Error message and
  17. the whole system dies a grizzley death!  This has not happened under
  18. AmiPro, even with my whole thesis w/ graphics, loaded in - yet it just
  19. crops up in Excel, with as little as a chart and a 4K CSV file....

  21. Is this actually a hardware problem? Or is Windows and/or Excel the
  22. quirky one?  The sudden freezing of my work reminds me more of how the
  23. old Atari STs acted......
