- As far as i know the temporary files are ordinary files and thus doesn't
- need to be continguous. But compressing the drive does usually free up some
- more space. Anyway it isn't a good idea to, as someone suggested, set the
- temp environment variable to c:\ as that will fragment the disk. Also the
- setting setup by DOS isn't good (c:\dos) for the same reason.

- If there isn't enough space you could think about installing stacker (or
- something similar).

- If you have very small memory (4M or so :) you should have an as small as
- possible smartdrv (or none) thereby freeing memory. If you have more than that
- i would suggest an rather large (2M?) ramdrive for the temp-files. On my
- 486DX-33 with 16M i have a 2.5M ramdrive.
