  34. We are trying to use BigmOuth from Talking Technologies.  For the
  35. price, it's a good system.  The disadvantages:  DOS based, not windows.
  36. A windows version may be in the works, but I haven't heard of it.  The
  37. phone book structure uses a proprietary flat text file which makes it
  38. difficult (but not impossible) to import data from our DBMS.
  39. The advantages: It offers phenomenal voice digitizing and supports
  40. incoming and outgoing call management.  If you have the disk space,
  41. you can set up voice mail for your staff, and telemarketing systems.
  42. One word of caution, the cheaper version needs it's own analog telephone
  43. line.  Running it through a PBX or digital phone network requires
  44. an upgrade to the more expensive hardware and software.
