- Well, I'm pretty much sold PCPlus for windows. It does seem to have
- some quirks every once in a while. But, I use it with PC BBS's and
- main frames to download all the time and it works great! I usually
- use ZMODEM for the BBS's and Kermit for the mainframe. (kermit does
- give some UART errors, but the download continues)
-
- The only problems i've had downloading is when the BBS uses the
- program 'TAPE'. When it uses tape the silly thing disconnects about
- 4 times for every file. However, with the recovery set to on with ZMODEM
- it picks up where it left off. A pain, but it works.
- As reference for you, I have a 386 33mhz 8Meg & a boca 14.4 modem. Ive
- used PCPlus to download about 200meg of files over the last 3 or 4 months.
- Help this helps.
- Mike
