  24. Hmm, are TrueType fonts 'enabled?' (check the fonts selection of Control
  25. Panel...perhaps this was the problem all along!)  I suppose if the fonts
  26. appear in the fonts lists of various programs, as I gather they were,
  27. then they *are* enabled.  Well, I'm open to other suggestions!
