  28.    SAS/Graph Proc GMAP and GPROJECT can do the display part of your problem,
  29. you will have to use convert you MapInfo Dbase files into SAS (no problem with
  30.  either DBMS/Copy or PC/SAS Proc DB3).   If your doing a lot of map editing I
  31.  would get MapInfo for Sun Openlook.  I am not sure which workstations MapInfo
  32.  supports, we have DOS, Windows and  Sun versions.  If I had a while to wait (6
  33.  months) I would wait for SAS/GIS, the beta is due to be released in Jan '93.
