  26. That leads to visions of pimps and madams somewhere out there in
  27. research land. So, walking the fence, as Todd suggests, must mean
  28. some of us hope not to grow up to *be* pimps and madams of research.
  29. Hmmm...rather a sad picture, don't you think? Perhaps part of what
  30. we need is a new vision of what it is we're trying to do.
