- To those who expressed concern about my request to see typical comps
- questions: I want to see samplwes samples of questions out of curiosity,
- scholarly type--what do we think are the important questions that a
- relative novice in our discipline should be able to grapple lwith with?
- I also wanted to see sample questions in order to share them with my
- students in our university's closest thing to a graduate course in
- qualitative research. I am the one propl people come to when they
- have qualitative questions in our department, and though I have done
- qualitative research both for my dissertation and more recent stou
- studies (and have attended the January conference at UGA) I am not the
- expert I would like to be in order to teach others. Hence my request
- for some generic questions.
- I do believe that there are such questions in our methodolgy. I do not
- think that the answers will be the same - - old Heraclitus again - -
- the the b
- but the issues around which our discussion swirls may be given form by
- consideration of my question.
- If you are at all co
- uncomfortable with the reqeust request, please ignore it. I am not heaven
- forbid trying to get anything that is confidential or privileged. The
- As a teacher, I intend for myu my ideas to be taken, used, and adapted by
- my students ., . . I use the motto, "I never met a lesson plan I didn't
- steal" (and I stole that line from Jim Rycik). Please forgive me if I
- asked for something that seems inapprpop inappropriate within this forum.
