- I have had difficulties have downlodaing PostScript files to
- our Hungarian printer's RIP4/Linotronic 300.
-
- PageMaker 4.2 files have been printed to disk as PostScript
- and then translated from Macintosh into MS-DOS format
- through Apple File Exchange. Such files have included EPSF
- files originated in Adobe Illutrator 3.2 and other programs, for
- example, DeltaGraph. The PageMaker files have been printed
- to disk using L_300471.PPD, according to Linotype's
- instructions. The Illustrator files were saved with
- Header and No Preview options checked before
- importing.
-
- Such files were downloaded successfully to an Apple
- IINTX and also to a RIP 2/Monotype 600 dpi proofing
- device from the Hungarian's IBM compatible.
-
- Text and native PageMaker elements were
- successfully downloaded to the Linotronic but none of
- the EPSF files. However, Adobe Illustrator files not
- imported into PageMaker were successfully downloaded
- to the same imagesetter as native files.
-
- I would greatly appreciate any wisdom.
