- Nancy,
- Hello from one pub. editor to another! I use Aldus FreeHand 3.1
- almost exclusively for my graphics software. I like to use it because of
- the familiar Aldus interface, I can link documents between PageMaker and
- FreeHand so when I make changes, they are atuomatically updated, and the
- two work together very well - rarely do I ever have any type of output
- problem. You can get it pretty cheap through CSU as an educational
- institution via Aldus (about $199 vs.$395 retail). I use it for everything
- from typography manipulation to intensive maps, detailed logos and
- graphics and simple designs. FreeHand also works great directly across
- platforms.
-
- I use a Mac Iici, 13" high-res monitor, and a myriad of applications, all
- going through a LaserWriter Plus and my new HP LaserJet 4M :)
- I desing, produce and edit a 24-36 page alumni magazine and a majority of
- the publications for the college.
-
- Hope this Helps
