  12. We are running a number of Novell 3.11 networks over a campus area network using
  13. IP Tunneling.
  14.  
  15. We have IP tunnels set up to other servers over the CAN.
  16. We can log to those servers, map drives, run apps, and use syscon and fconsole.
  17. We cannot however, run rconsole.
  18.  
  19. Our problems is as follows (in addition to the rconsole problem):

  21. The connection to the remote servers times out after 5 to 10 minutes of
  22. inactivity. This hasn't been a problem until lately. We now have an application
  23. which depends on the connection being maintained permanently.

  25. If anyone has any ideas on this, We would sure like to hear them!
