  13.           Hello to all!

  15.           I have a question about the subdirectories Netware makes for
  16.           each user in the SYS:MAIL directory.
  17.  
  18.           First some background:
  19.  
  20.           We have a 3.11 server with about 350 users defined and
  21.           200 workstations.  Recently we had a hard disk crash and
  22.           could't get a full restore (don't ask!) so we had to restore
  23.           the bindery from an old copy (using BINDREST).
  24.  
  25.           When BINDREST was run it didn't create the SYS:MAIL
  26.           subdirectories for each user (only for SUPERVISOR, netware
  27.           id 00000001 and subdirectory SYS:MAIL\1).  That didn't seem
  28.           to be a problem since we are using cc:Mail and don't user
  29.           individual login scripts (we are running Netware Naming
  30.           Service.)

  32.           Once the server was back up and running CAPTURE seemed to
  33.           take quite a bit longer, maybe 6-7 seconds versus 1 or so
  34.           before the crash.  After some exploring it seems that the
  35.           capture works right away if a user has a directory in
  36.           SYS:MAIL.

  38.           So, finally my question:

  40.           1.  Why does capture take longer when a user does not have a
  41.           subdirectory in SYS:MAIL?
  42.  
  43.           2.  How can I easily restore those subdirectories for each
  44.           user without doing it by hand.
  45.
