- I've been looking through various lists but can't find the info I'm looking
- for. We are going to be connecting several networks together, some netware and
- some AppleTalk. What software would I need in order to be able to exchange Mail
- between the Netware and the Apple networks. Our local network will be Netware
- 3.11 with the MAC NLM. The remote networks are mostly all MAC's. I'd like to
- get something that will eventually allow me to connect to the Internet. I've
- found Pegasus Mail, and Charon, but it sounds like I would need a Unix Mail
- server for that to work.
-
- Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

- Thanks, Andy.

- Since you have Netware 3.11 and the MAC.NLM a very simple solution would be
- cc:Mail. With cc:Mail, your Mac and DOS/Windows/OS2 users can share the same
- Post Office on the same LAN. Your remote Mac Appleshare LAN's can use a cc:Mail
- gateway to call the Netware Post Offices. There is also an SMTP Link program
- you can purchase that will translate cc:Mail messages to the SMTP format for
- access to the Internet. All you need for SMTP link is a DOS PC on your LAN and
- a mail relay for it to talk to. You can call 800-448-2500 for more details.
-
- Good luck!
