- I don't know if our experience echoes other institutions' experience but I
- thought I'd let people know. We have a test database of 200,000 records.
- It took an hour to run LSC994 against that database. Since we are going live
- with 5.1 on January 8th, I decided to run LSC994 against a copy of our
- production bib file to make sure we don't run into any problem records. Our
- production database is 1.7 million records. That took 9 hours. Seems rather
- extreme when all it's doing is converting $6 to $8. Really puts a crimp in
- our cross-over schedule.
