- I want to second Rip Lhamon's request for the moon - the decoding of
- nbcustom.set lines.
- After having reset some defaults through the menu system I found
- the additional changes wouldn't 'take'. For instance, changes in the number of
- lines per page from the SET menu worked fine until reboot even though I
- had made them the default (F2). Inspection of nbcustom.set showed that
- the appropriate lines had been added to the end of the file, that they
- were not contradicted by anything in previous lines, but that they did
- not have had any effect on the (default) setting.
- My solution was to move the lines in question to the top of the
- nbcustom.set file.
- Query: is there a limit on the length of nbcustom.set to be loaded?
- Also, are there possibly lots of useless - unused, non-functional
- lines in nbcustom that perhaps only duplicate a factory default defined
- elsewhere, that that therefore can be eliminated safely?
- Alternatively, is there a way to extend the memory space for
- nbcustom?
- [I did not think I was memory starved, with DOS 5.0, all sorts of
- things high like a buzzard, and 8 MB RAM - but perhaps I am not using
- it optimally]
- IN any case, it would be nice to to share in the moon Rip requested.
