- We don't have any policies in place to control the impact of non-affiliates
- on reference service in our library. Anyone is welcome to use the Library
- and its services. Sometimes it causes some minor problems, but generally
- it doesn't. Any resident of the Halifax-Dartmouth area who is over 18
- is entitled to a Novanet (the library consortium of which we are a member)
- off-campus borrower's card for $5.00. This gives them the right to borrow
- regular circulating material from the Library and to use other library
- services such as reference, CD-ROMs etc.

- P.S. The services that the "public" are not entitled to include interlibrary
- loans, borrowing of reserve materials, and mediated literature searches. We
- do however provide mediated searches for any registered health professional
- in the Maritime provinces.
