  13. A brief question for your holiday or vacation perusal.... I'd be interested
  14. to know what other dual degree folks have experienced in terms of variations
  15. in funding for their 2 doctoral degrees, and variations in length of program
  16. and institutional tolerance or flexibility with respect to said variations.
  17. To get us started.....

  19. *  most biomedical sci. MD/PhD's get generous, though contractually
  20.    obligated support for their medical *and* graduate studies....what
  21.    kind of issues arise with regard to this type of "Ulysses contract"?

  23. *  by contrast, almost all non-traditional MD/PhD's (outside biol. sci.)
  24.    get grad school support but rarely have med school tuition paid for?
  25.    Does this resonate with your experience?  Is it fair?  Should there
  26.    be more "MSTP"-type support for a limited # of students in such areas?
