  13. I agree 100% with Dave Roberts that "the writing project work is the most
  14. important thing I've done and the most effective teaching I've ever been
  15. involved in." I watched the writing project (and its the dynamic of the thing,
  16. not the director) transform careers, turn weary teachers into self-confident
  17. professionals, transform curriculum in individual schools and districts, and
  18. turn project directors into very humble servants. Being a project director
  19. does require a VERY understanding spouse. (Thanks, Dear.)
