- Russ: thank you for that long message, which makes teaching writing sound
- almost as exciting as learning in writing. Student's don't all have to read
- the same thing or write the same kind of thing, and we don't have to read
- all that they read, and the discovery of the possibility of difference in
- meeting the demands and needs of others (an audience) ought to be one of the
- things we let them discover.
