- An organization contacted me about connecting to the Internet using
- VSE/SP. Anyone know of a TCP/IP implementation for VSE/SP release 3?
- I don't find one offered by IBM when I look at IBMLink. Anyone know of
- a solution from another vendor?
- Since they are unaware of any such implementation they are consider-
- ing communicating with the Internet by sending output to the VM spool
- from VSE (a guest) and then having a disconnected service machine pro-
- cess the file and ship mail to the appropriate user via the IBM VM
- TCP/IP modified NOTE or SENDFILE command. Other than having to arrange
- for nameservice from someone (assuming they don't want to do their own
- for one VM host) and ensuring that the service machine won't start a
- mail loop because of a returned piece of mail, does anyone know of any
- reason not to pursue that approach?
