- Here in UK we access something called DIAL-IBM, which I gather is
- similar to USA IBMLINK. I have the use of a TN3270 package for the
- PC that implements IND$FILE transfer, and this works quite well
- for transferring files from DIAL-IBM. My chief complaint is not
- with the file transfer procedure itself, but with the complex
- procedures needed on DIAL-IBM to put the desired material into a
- disk file on one's "personal file store" (a.k.a CMS minidisk)
- prior to performing the download.
-
- Unfortunately the TN3270 with IND$FILE is copyright, but at least
- you can deduce from its existence that such a thing is feasible!!!
- (the so-called "proof by example"). Feel free to contact me directly
- if you want to know more.
