- What an ASS. I also bought one of the orginal 14.4k units. The speaker stopped
- functioning, the modem ran very hot, and then after two months of solid data
- transfers it started losing data (this was with nothing else running on a 25 MHZ
- 68030 machine at 9600 baud). I sent my modem in to get the speaker fixed and a
- ROM upgrade. The modem now runs cool and I no longer lose data, but now the
- speaker emits a high, oscillating screeching sound when it gets a dial tone. I
- have hooked up my old Hayes Smartmodem and I receive a nice clear dial tone. So
- overall these modems do have problems that have nothing to do with reading the
- DAMN manual.

- Also I have spent a fair amount of my own money attempting to call Supra. First
- their stupid phone system wasn't working. Then when I did get through they kept
- losing any information about me or the problems I was having. This is not
- acceptable treatment of customers. If you want to sell something then provide
- service. If you can't provide the service at the prices you quote, then get
- out. I for one will not purchase another Supra product based on my experience.
- I work for a living and can't afford to waste my money on shoddy products.
