- Well, I think we've made some progress, though maybe not in clarifying the
- definition. Cost-benefit theory has introduced a framework in which
- quantitative studies are possible. Because the study of behavior has
- become more widespread, we know a lot more about the range of behaviors
- that can, under some definition, be considered "territorial." No question
- that we have a long way to go before we understand what we mean when we
- talk about territoriality, though...
