  11. I want to take this opportunity to wish all DEAF-L readers
  12. a very HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON.  May those of you who can hear receive
  13. special enjoyment from the sounds of the season (such as
  14. Christmas carols, tinkling bells, and the laughter of children),
  15. and those who are deaf gain special satisfaction from the many
  16. visual symbols of the season (such as twinkling colored lights,
  17. decorated Christmas trees, and smiling faces).  And may all of you
  18. be granted a special understanding and appreciation of the vast
  19. cultural, ethnic, linguistic, and religious diversity of the
  20. peoples of the world, as well as PEACE, HEALTH, and HAPPINESS
  21. in the coming year.
