- Janet Sedgley asked how to export dBASE IV data to a WordPerfect
- secondary merge file. Two methods are common. COPY to a temporary
- file, either DELIMITED or TYPE DIF. DELIMITED produces a file that is
- basically in WordStar MailMerge format. It can be a problem if the
- fields contain commas and aren't enclosed in quotes, or if they contain
- quotes and are. TYPE DIF is probably your best bet, although I haven't
- tried it.
-
- In either case, use the CONVERT program that comes with WordPerfect to
- convert the temporary file to WP Secondary Merge. Source choices are
- (9) Mail Merge or (A) Spreadsheet DIF.
