- Isn't this what libraries (more specifically, library catalogers) have been
- struggling with for 100+ years? For "standardised keywords" read "subject
- headings" or "structured vocabulary." For "synonym lists" read "cross-
- references." Not that any of this is easy (we haven't solved the problem in
- those 100+ years). But it does indicate where some of the knowledge base for
- dealing with this growing dilemma lies.
