  42. Here we must distinguish. The Son is co-eternal and co-equal
  43. with the Father, but yet we say that the Son is begotten of the
  44. Father. We note that this does not mean that the begetting is an
  45. event in time. Rather, it refers to an eternal relationship.
  46. Similarly, we say that the Holy Spirit "proceeds from the Father."
  47. (see John 15:26), referring to an eternal relationship.
