  30. While I would agree that we must work to eliminate the demand for
  31. abortion, and that organizations such as Birthright are worthwhile
  32. and worthy of our support, I nevertheless feel that this is not
  33. enough.

  35.         To draw an analogy that I'm sure some will find distasteful --
  36. say there is a concentration camp outside town where homeless
  37. people are being held and killed.  Would you claim that all we should
  38. do is work to eliminate the causes of homelessness?  I think this is
  39. similar.  While we must work to eliminate the root causes, we cannot
  40. ignore the slaughter that is taking place.
