- As I understand it, the principal reasons are to provide a better
- upbringing for children (thus making them better citizens) and to
- stabilize society.

- No, I would not. I was not defending whoever's opinion that was,
- just trying to explain it since you didn't seem to even understand his
- point. Since I understood his point (though as I pointed out above I
- haven't thought about it much, nor do I claim to agree or disagree) I
- thought I would try to explain it.
