  24. Actually, Dan, I wasn't advocating networking it anyway. They can restrict our
  25. networking rights, and we have to put up with it. But it is NOT right or
  26. "fair".  What I was saying was that they shouldn't. Sorry if I was unclear.
  27. Also, when you call the cost of "disconnecting" a station trivial, I think you
  28. are neglecting the "opportunity" cost of doing so.  A standalone workstation
  29. can only access the OED, limiting the access to networkable products. Not
  30. good. Fortunately, use of humanities dbs here is low enough that we can load
  31. the OED on a stanlone with six disk changer and not worry about patron
  32. conflicts.

  34. Nor was the CASSIS case quite as Dan described it, but I don't want to
  35. blab all over the net. Suffice it to say that there seems to have been
  36. a communication failure on their part.
