  13. We have a CD Plus 200 workstation and access to MEDLINE and CINAHL on CD-ROM.
  14. Since April we have been using a software program called GUS (Guardian
  15. Utilization Statistics).  GUS enables us to register users and will produce
  16. reports and graphs on utilization (number of accesses), purpose of use, appli-
  17. cations, peak usage times, etc.  It also has a announcement board and a time
  18. out feature.  All of this can be customized.  So far we've been happy with the
  19. software and the support people have been very helpful.  We have had to change
  20. our way of looking at statistics -- from the idea of completed subject or
  21. "intellectual" searches to the number of accesses -- but at least we have some
  22. idea of how our workstation is being used.
