- I certainly did not mean poor. Perhaps I should have stopped at "hard cases."
- I came from a family of eight that attended parochial schools, and there
- were times when mom had to do laundry for the sisters to pay our tuition. My
- own experience was that mountains were moved to allow poorer pupils to
- attend. Even currently, some very good friends have gone through a
- prolonged period of minimal employment and kept their kids in the
- local parochial school. I know that somehow they were accomodated.
