  21. There is a third party solution currently available from Digital Products
  22. called LANSprint for VINES.  Essentially, it a hardware/software solution
  23. that can be installed into any PC and used as a workstation or dedicated
  24. print server. The print speeds are really quite remarkable, and
  25. LANSprint takes the lion's share of the load off the CPU when installed on
  26. a workstation. It is available with 1 or 2 parallel ports and simply
  27. replaces the Banyan PC Print.

  29. Digital Products will also be shipping a product called NETSprint 100 for
  30. VINES somewhere around March of 1993.  This product simply plugs into
  31. Ethernet or Token Ring and allows you to plug serial/parallel devices into
  32. it.  They are currently shipping this product for Novell and AppleTalk.
  33. The high end product (NetSprint 200) simultaneously supports multiple
  34. protocols including Novell and AppleTalk, with VINES, and TCP/IP coming in
  35. Quarter one of 1993.

  42. This is the only company I know of that offers, or is planning to offer,
  43. the VINES supported products your looking for.  My hopes are that Banyan
  44. will support network attached printers within it's NOS SOON!  VINES for
  45. SCO UNIX already does because it takes advantage of the network printer
  46. support in SCO UNIX.
