- "archie pc370" will produce a list of sites which archive the pc370 source. I
- believe that the last version was 4.2 before selling out to Microfocus to
- support their Cobol cross compile effort on the PC. I do not believe the
- source has ever been distributed. The assembler was patterned after a stand
- alone tool which was used to teach assembly stand alone, and as such is
- rather limited. Also, the capability to intertwine 286 and 370 code was
- added which might make the usefulness for cross support on actual 370s
- somewhat limited.
-
- The code may be exported to VM very easily from the pc370 version 4.2, but
- it uses an SVC 76 or such for most of its os support. I am not familiar
- with MVS coding, but it probably needs much more to be really useful. This
- still misses the original posters desire to be able to run on an HP.
