  21. I have seen postings about Don Higgins cross/370 assembler, but this
  22. is NOT what I am looking for.  His assembler apparently creates code
  23. to run on PC's.  I am looking for a cross/370 assembler that will run
  24. on any of several platforms (read this as portable and probably
  25. written in C) and for which the object code generated is IBM 370 or
  26. 390 object and compatible with IBM object code files.  I will also
  27. need the source so as to be able to keep up with changes in processor
  28. instructions, IBM/390 assembler features, etc.  I am not interested in
  29. any ability of the package to test/run the code on the cross platform.
  30. I will transfer the generated objects to MVS to be linkedited there.

  32. Does such a beast exist?  If so, please mail me a response.

  34. I intend to run this from an HP700 platform running HPUX.
