  11. The Gay and Lesbian activity section of the Sierra Club Loma Prieta Chapter
  12. invites you to participate in the following upcoming hikes:

  15.     * Big Basin - Wednesday, December 30
  16.  
  17.       This is a midweek hike for those fortunate to have the week off. We
  18.       will hike to Berry Creek Falls via the Skyline-to-the-Sea/Sunset
  19.       Trail loop, a 12-mile, 6-7 hour hike. The trail has a lot of ups
  20.       and downs, but provides a million rewards in the winter. Everything
  21.       is fresh and green, and Berry Creek and Silver Falls are awesome
  22.       torrents. We will meet at the DeFrank Center at 8:30 a.m. and 
  23.       expect to return by 5:30 p.m. Bring a lunch and water. Boots and
  24.       layered clothing are recommended. Rain cancels. If you have any

  28.     * Mission Peak - New Year's day
  29.  
  30.       We've planned this 7-mile, 2200 foot climb for you hearty souls who'd
  31.       like to start the new year with an exhilarating hike. We will have
  32.       lunch while enjoying the spectacular views at the top of this 2517-foot
  33.       peak near Fremont. Meet at the DeFrank Center at 9:00 a.m. Bring
  34.       water, lunch, and warm clothing, including a hat. For more information,

  38.     * Mt. Madonna - Sunday, January 10th
  39.  
  40.       This park is located 10 miles west of Gilroy at the summit of 
  41.       Hecker Pass. This short 4.5-mile loop trail will take us from Sprig
  42.       Lake through a forest of multi-trunked canyon oaks and tall redwoods.
  43.       Meet at the DeFrank Center at 9:30 a.m. Bring a lunch and water.
