- What: Fundraising event to support the "Somalia Relief" effort undertaken by
- the American Red Cross. The program is co-sponsored by various
- organizations from the bay area Chinese-American community.

- Who: Honorary Co-Chairpersons - Representative-Elect Anna Eshoo of the 14th
- U.S. Congressional District, and Educator and retired Dean of
- Engineering of Santa Clara University, Dr. Shu-Park Chan.

- Status: So far, over $3,000 collected through talks and contacts with
- individuals and organizations.

- A coalition of religious, business, social, charity, professional, ethnic, and
- human rights organizations, and many individuals, are joining forces to sponsor
- a year-end donation drive to help raise funds to support the Somalia Relief
- effort. All proceed s will go through the local American Red Cross chapter to
- support the international rescue mission.

- Music/Dance Program starts at 7:00PM. Donation and fundraising auction starts
- at 8:00 PM. All expenses are paid in advance by various donors. There is no
- admission charge.

- Donations are fully tax deductible. Please send contributions to "Somalia
- Relief", P.O. Box 160308, Cupertino, CA 95016-0308. Make checks payable to
- "American Red Cross" and note on either either side of the checks that it is
- for "Somalia Relief".
