  23. Are you surprised by this?  If the National Association of Employers
  24. got the government to freeze programmer's salaries, don't you think
  25. many would do everything they could to maximize their salaries before
  26. the freeze?  Just one of those nasty little side effects of
  27. regulation.

  29. And BTW, who ever said the rate of inflation was or should be the
  30. upper limit of price increases?  Outside the ex-USSR, that is.

  41. you want, when you want it, at the price you want to pay.  Why not
  42. just get the government to nationalize all cable stations outright?
  43. (Although you'd still have to get on the board of directors to assure
  44. yourself of the programs you want to see.)
