  30. A Mac partition can hold only 65536 blocks. So the bigger the disk the
  31. bigger the bytes per block. A 32M (or smaller) partition has blocks of 512
  32. bytes. A partition greater than 65536 x 8K (= 500MB) will need 16K blocks,
  33. so the smallest disk file will require 16K.

  35. The solution: partition a big disk into a number of smaller partitions.
