  23. Precisely.  The reason I added a smiley was because I was being sarcastic.
  24. Nobody would be too eager to get involved in "Supermarket Wars", and I can
  25. see no social or political motivation for doing so (except, possibly to
  26. arrange for a supermarket to sell food at post-GST prices! :-).

  28. If anything, I would *like* to see the government step in to ensure that
  29. supermarket chains couldn't obtain local monopolies for themselves, but then
  30. retail sales is *not* telecommunications, is it?  Thus the issues are
  31. entirely different.
