- I was wondering what kind of interest you think there would be in a
- small press "year in the life" book? A 100+ page book full of excerpts
- from fanzines, journals, newsgroups, newspapers, comix, leaflets, ad
- nauseum.
-
- I was looking through a book/zine a friend, Domenic Priore, put together
- out in California...it was all about the surf/beach/mod/retro60's type
- of scene and featured lots of appropriation, a few ads, interviews and
- photos of several cool folks (my fave being Ed 'Big Daddy' Roth),
- comics, memorabilia, and junk like that and ran 113 pages featuring
- two-color (red and black) covers. It seemed like a cool little package
- to have ahold of, despite it's low-end production quality.
-
- To get to the point....would any of you be interested in putting
- together something like this as a "time capsule" for the middle of 93?
-
- If so...how many pages would you do?
-
- What are the printing costs for bound publications with glossy covers?
-
- Would you suggest accepting advertisers for fundage?
-
- I thought dedicating 3 pages to each week for 6 months would be good...
- with followups and filler in between and at the end to make it 100-125
- pages.
-
- I'm rushed for time here, excuse the hack post. I'd like to get peoples
- opinions on this (please post rather than email...so we all can
- partake).
-
- More lato...
