- I believe a variant of this is used in the blue-collar trades: "All it takes
- to be a plumber is to remember that payday's Friday and shit flows downhill."
- I believe this is usually spoken by a non-plumber, say an electrician or a
- finish carpenter. Definitely a statement of derision about plumbers. And not
- nearly as elegant as Mark Twain's comment on another trade: "As empty as a
- beer closet where painters have been."
