- Depends on the size of your desk...paperback dictionaries tend to be very
- abridged.

- If you have a bit of extra room, spring for the new AHD, 3rd. edn. A bit
- large (though not actually huge), extensive, fascinating.

- If not, try one of the "College dictionaries." Or take your list of
- unlocated words to the local English bookstore and test-drive a few
- of the dictionaries there.
