  17. Please excuse this post if this is not the right newsgroup.

  19. I am looking for recommendations for a good English dictionary, desk size, either
  20. hardback or paperback.  I currently am using a 1989 paperback edition of 
  21. _The American Heritage Dictionary_, but I have been dismayed in the last few 
  22. months at how many words I have searched for are not included.

  24. If this information is in a FAQ somewhere, I will appreciate a pointer in the
  25. right direction.
