  14. I hereby repost an article I read almost two years ago, regarding the
  15. swapping of genders on TV (television).  It was originally posted to
  16. alt.sex.  I don't know if the original poster's address is still good
  17. or if he still wants feedback.

  20. Awhile back I asked for responses on TV shows, Movies, books and stories that
  21. contained gender swapping. I got allot of responses, and I THANK all who 
  22. responded. Following is a list of what I received and/or new about myself. 
  23. Some of the stories that I know about contain short descriptions. Others I 
  24. describe something I remember, but not the title or author. This list is
  25. definitely not 100% accurate, but for those interested it is a starting point.

  27. Mark Phaedrus at about the same time also asked for response in a more general
  28. arena (transformations in general). He posted his list to rec.arts.sf-lovers.
  29. This list contains some of the titles listed there but not all. The listing
  30. is divided into MOVIES, BOOKS, TV SHOWS.

  33.         Goodbye Charlie

  35.     Cleo/Leo
  36.                  (All three of the above use the same theme. They are listed
  37.           in my opinion from sweetest to rauchniest(sp?). The theme
  38.           is Male chauvenist killed and brought back as women)

  40.     Deathstalker (one scene, flunky turned into Barbi Benton)

  42.         Frankenstein Created Women   (Movie had Peter Cushing I believe. It
  43.          had a man being hanged for a crime The doctor took his body 
  44.          after death and saved his soul in an electrical field. He then
  45.          waited for a person to die. It turned out to be the woman the 
  46.          guy had been with the night before. The person gets back enough
  47.          memory to avenge the people that were responsible for his death.
  48.              The movie was set about the 1800's. No cars or electricity.)

  50.        Dr. Jekyll and Miss Hyde. (Dr. is bent on finding the cure for aging
  51.         He develops a serum from dead females. He tests it first on a
  52.         fly. The fly lives at least eight times longer than normal. The
  53.         problem is he put a male fly in jar. But now there are eggs in
  54.         the sealed jar. The Dr. ignores this and experiments on himself.
  55.         He is transformed into a woman. But goes back to a man after awhile
  56.         , but the evil female side tries to be the dominant person. She
  57.         comes out and tries to kill more females for more serum.)

  59.        Something Wicked This Way Comes (seem to remember in this movies that
  60.         a man went to the carnival and was transformed into the bearded
  61.         woman.)

  63.        Myra Breckenridge (Capote. Book also. Starred Rex Reed, and Racquel
  64.               Welch as the post-op Myra)

  85.           Downtiming, The Night Side (Time travel story where when you go back

  110.       To Live Again (Silverberg. Person's mind is read out regularly at
  111.                a central library. Once that person dies their person-
  112.                ality is read into one person. Most influentual people
  113.                of the time have multiple persons read into them.)

  115.       Star Trek short story (Don't remember the title, I have lost the book.
  116.                it has Trek crew beaming down to a planet the has a
  117.                beacon inviting people to the planet. They get knocked
  118.                out and wake up with there X or Y chromosone switched.
  119.                This happens to all the main characters. The strongest
  120.                person of each ship gets a double YY chromosone. They
  121.                find a Klingon crew that also got trapped there. The
  122.                planet begins to beam down the crew after the landing
  123.                crew is changed. It also traps the ships there.)

  125.       Beyond Rejection (Leiber. Peoples minds are read out regularly and if
  126.               your body gets destroyed you are put in a body of
  127.               someone else, I don't remember what happens to that
  128.               other person's mind. The main character get put in
  129.               the body of a woman. There is also the mention of
  130.               possibly some sequels, but no one has read them
  131.               that responded)

  134.          Don't Bite the Sun (Tanith Lee. It has been awhile, I seem to remember
  135.                the lead female character get changed into a male
  136.                for awhile so that she can use his sperm to im-
  137.                pregnate herself. Doesn't work, and I don't believe
  138.                it was the basis of the story, just a subplot)

  153.        bath house. They each in separate experience see a nude girl and
  154.        chase her. They end up making love a creature. This causes them
  155.        to slowly to start changing into females.)

  218.           mentioned, I also seem to remember a tv special on American tv
  219.           that was featuring forgien tv shows, one which had to do with a
  220.           boy and girl running into each other on some steps and there bodies
  221.           getting switch. They were in there early teens.
