- Hi,
-
- Glad to see an intergraph newsgroup. As a fairly new user of
- MicroStation 4 PC I have a few questions.
-
- First, what raster/vector conversion software is out there? Ideally I
- would like to support hybrid raster/vector images and be able to plot
- them as well as manually convert raster "lines" to vector entities.
- Some sort of conversion "intelligence" would be better than tracing on
- the screen.
-
- Second, I would like to start with a color and monochrome monitor
- and upgrade to two color monitors later. What VGA card should I buy
- for my primary screen today that will be good for my secondary screen
- tomorrow? Will the ATI Graphics Ultra work with Microstation as well
- as it works with AutoCAD? And what VGA cards have drivers other than
- the VESA interface? VESA seems kind of slow. I've messed around with
- the beta S3 drivers for the Diamond Stealth, anybody using an S3 in a
- production drafting environment?
-
- Thanks
