  12. OK, Santa, I think you got it major wrong this year!
  13. I tried pretty hard to be good all year...I tried a little bit...
  14.  
  15. So I decided to go surfing for Christmas instead of doing
  16. the family/presents/party thing. I got up early and put my board
  17. on the Thing and saw this festive snowy crushed glass effect on the
  18. tail as I was strapping it down. I opened the bag and saw the whole
  19. tail was smashed. Ho.ho.ho. It didn't look that way when I hung it up
  20. last.

  22. I'm too big to cry, so I glopped it full of Quick Fix and went anyway.
  23. An hour later, I was standing on the cliffs of Pleasure Point. 
  24. The Pacific looked like the Mediterranean sea, nice day for kayacs. 
  25. The locals were hanging their heads for Christmas. 
  26. Steamer Lane was even worse.
  27. Wave Trak missed this time, forcasting a head high surf for today.
  28. "Well," they said, "maybe the swell is late getting here." 
  29. Merry Christmas.

  31. My tail patch was too wet and temporary to surf anyway. Bah humbug!

  33. Now my freshly modified Christmas-Custom Stewart HydroHull is drying in
  34. front of the fireplace. It used to be a square tail but since the
  35. corners were smashed its now a radical rounded square tail (soon to
  36. be a pintail if my luck keeps up!).

  38. The swell is probably still on its way.
  39. I have 10 more days off work and Santa owes me!
