- Well, we had the San Diego North County net surf Saturday 12/19.
- The crew consisted of Mike (a brit in yankland), Chirs (a yank
- in britland) and myself. We were also greeted by a large
- welcoming committee of longboarders at Cardiff where we finally
- settled. Mike's rave spot, Beakons, also had a large welcoming
- committee. So how was the surf?
-
- The surf was about 3' - 4', and generously glassy.
- The water was around 60F and the air was sunny, mid-60s.
- When the longboarders left, it got more consistent
- although that may be just a matter of perception as
- more waves were made available to us. Oh yeah, it
- was mushy too: the rights disappeared into the twilight zone.
-
- The next day, I drove down the coast hoping for some measureable surf.
- I settled in Del Mar 13th St., where it was 2' - 3' and
- extremely slow until it hit the sandbar where it pitched out
- for brief cover-ups.
-
- Today looked as flat as a doorknob.
