- This reminds me... Ferrell and I brought home fresh venison a few
- weeks back (no flames, please) and I tried something new. We packaged
- some roasts from the meat and I cooked a ~2lb roast in the crockpot
- all day with chicken boullion, 2 large potatoes cut up, 1/2 of a very
- large onion cut up, and 2 cups of water, plus spices and seasonings.
- (I seasoned the roast and let it sit overnight first.) It was
- fantastic! When we sat down at the table Ferrell asked if we needed
- knives -- HA! It practically fell apart! The meat was excellent in
- both texture and flavor. We *loved* it. And everybody knows that
- venison is practically non-fat, right? Very, very low. So that's my
- recommendation for those of you who may be skipping the roasts.

- I agree with Allen. Cory, tell your parents what you are doing and
- ask for their support. Good luck and happy holidays!
